Work in progress

In the ongoing journey to build up my portfolio, I finally got around to some development on my alien character, Xid, from my january sketch challenge.  I’ve been meaning to do a color render for the longest time, but never fully committed myself to doing so.  I also got around to doing some expression sketches in ballpoint pen.  Definitely not on model, but it was a good warmup exercise before I did my illustrator render of Xid.  I’m not the greatest with color and that’s what makes illustrator a great tool: if you don’t like the colors, they’re so easy to change.

Anyways, shoot some feedback my way as it’s always appreciated.  Until then, cheers and enjoy?
