Steampunk Robin Hood WIP

Steampunk Robin Hood Design for David Colman’s Character Design Class at the Concept Design Academy.  It’s one of 3 characters for the final project.  I’ll post the rest as I finish them.  I swear it would have given me less grief if I just turned in line drawing versions instead of going for a polished render.  I’m taking a digital painting class at Gnomon and I wanted to test out what I’ve been learning there.  So I blame it on the idea of applying myself.  Anyways, digital painting is not a strength of mine.  This blasted thing took my about 10 hours to get to this stage.  Still not done with this particular render, but it’s late and I’m sleepy as all hell.  Cheers!

Great work! Your effort definitely paid off. You’ve got a interesting design and pose and the painting makes it sing. I really like what you’ve done with the lighting down the character’s middle with the vest and pants popping against the dark of the coat interior.
