Fairy Sketch

So this coming weekend is Nathan Fowkes’ Color Concepts workshop at LAAFA. Seeing that I haven’t touched acrylic or oil paints in over 5 years, I thought it would be a good idea to brush up on acrylics since I’m more familiar with the medium. Unfortunately, I completely tanked the whole weekend with wasted paint with terrible results. Luckily, I was smart enough to just buy a bunch of el cheapo paints for practice. Long story short, this was the best I could do during the weekend. I think it took me about an hour to two hours. It is just a color study of a sketch I found in Josh Howard’s Mosh Girls + Monsters sketchbook.
