In my digital painting class, my instructor, Raj, said that doing master copies of old masters and also painting from a model would help improve your skills in a timely manner. Seeing that I’m not the fastest painter by any means, I decided to do digital paintings from stock photos of figure models.

Anyways, it took me twice as long as I’d like because I totally fucked up in the beginning by trying to paint blues and stuff. So there’s a layerfile I have where the piece looks like dogturd. But yeah. here’s the first step towards being halfway decent at digital painting. Now I got 999 more bad paintings to go. Cheers
